Our Stay in Philadelphia (Part 2)

Dearest brothers and sisters in Christ,

We thank God for His continued provision and love towards each one of us. We would like to take this opportunity to share some news with you regarding our family’s progress.  Otto has been going to Westminster consistently these last few weeks to read, research, and begin the writing of his dissertation paper.  We praise God that his topic was approved and that now he has an outline prepared already.  He will be working on this project until the middle of December.  Grace has been busy with many projects the last few weeks.  She feels tired, yet continues to fulfill not only her familial duties, and preaches in various churches all the while continuing her visitation ministry.  Jenel returned from college at the end of May, only to begin a new distance-learning course from Wheaton. She has been Grace’s “chaffeur” this past month and is enjoying her stay at home very much.  Jenel plans to help out in the VBS program at Calvary next week.  Moreover, she has been planning her upcoming wedding as well,. Jesed graduated from UMHS with an outstanding academic record.  She is learning how to drive this summer and anticipates her entrance to McGill University in Montreal, Canada, this fall.  Our family had the privilege of meeting Tony’s (Jenel's fiance) family in the middle of June.  We had an enjoyable stay with them and also completed a lot of things on our “wedding-to-do list.”  God has been gracious in providing Otto the rest of this year to complete his paper.  Our family has been enjoying the precious time we have together this summer to catch up and build special memories.  God has blessed Jenel abundantly in the two bridal showers thrown for her this summer.  Please check the prayer list for more details on how to better pray for us.  Love in Christ, Sanchez family (Otto, Grace, Jenel, and Jesed)

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Earthquake hits hard in Arequipa, Peru

As all of you have probably already heard by now, a strong earthquake hit a rural area of Peru near Arequipa( located south of Lima, the capital).  Thankfully, as of now, we still have not heard of any known friends who have been killed or even injured by this quake.  Resources are being collected to help the desperate people living in poverty-stricken situations only worsened by this natural disaster.  Due to God’s grace, we can report that little damage has occurred within the IEP seminary located near Arequipa.  Please continue praying for the recovering families who have not only suffered material and physical losses, but felt the impact of losing dear close ones to death because of this.  We hope that this time would cause more people to come to a saving knowledge of Christ.
