Dear
Prayer Warriors,
There is nothing impossible for God. We are so thankful that God has
brought us back to Peru. We were
welcomed very warmly by the “hot weather of Lima.”
We thank the Lord that we did not have to move and that we only had to
clean the house thoroughly.
Prayers were answered.
The wedding of Tony and Jenel was very blessed. We went to Laredo, Texas one week before their wedding.
All the 6 bridesmaids and groomsmen came from different places: Scotland,
Canada, Chicago, Miami, etc. The ceremony was so meaningful with the communion
service. The newlyweds went to
Hawaii for their honeymoon. We all went back to Hong Kong for the Home
assignment and another Chinese wedding banquet was held for our families in Hong
Kong. It was so touching that many
brothers and sisters participated in the program, like the praise team, music,
power point, photographers, etc. Actually,
it was a “Thanksgiving” banquet to celebrate our Wonderful Lord for His
faithfulness upon our family and His Love upon Tony and Jenel.
Please continue to pray for Tony and Jenel.
Jenel will continue to pursue her studies in the Masters Degree Program.
Please pray that God's will be done in their lives.

Otto
has finished the first draft of his dissertation. Please pray that he can work on the changes and can catch
up with his professor before his sabbatical.
It seems impossible because while he is in the mission field he
already has a busy schedule for his teaching in the seminary.
Jesed
is in Montreal by herself. She
is in her first year at McGill University.
Please pray that God will provide her with good Christian friends.

Grace
is recovering from her problem of sleep.
We
arrived on Thursday and the following Sunday was the 23rd anniversary of the
Chinese Church in Lima. We were
very thrilled to see God’s work there. God
really answered prayers. Grace had
been so concerned for the need of the ministry in Lima while she was in the
States for the Home Assignment. Now,
she can see that God does care for His church.
In the church, they have a Chinese pastor who has the vision to reach the
Chinese and the Peruvians. Though he does not speak Chinese yet, he has the
heart for the Chinese. Besides the
pastor, they also have an associate pastor who is Chinese but does not speak the
Chinese language. They work well
together with the deacons. One lady
missionary who can speak Mandarin came from Argentina.
She has been helping the Mandarin group for nearly one year.
The church is growing. We
are very thankful to the Lord for bringing His workers together.
We are thankful to the Lord for
having brought 16 new students for the coming term.
More details will be shared in another e-mail.
They just arrived with enthusiasm to learn, serve, and work.
We praise the Lord that our faculty families are increased.
We have two more families living on campus.
They were previously students, and now are professors.
We are very thrilled to see that His servants were well equipped and are
willing to come back to serve Him together.
