Dear Prayer Warriors,
Thank you for your all prayers on Grace's behalf. She is now at
"home" recuperating from the surgery. She is feeling a little bit
better. The oncologist has told us that the cancer in her lung is from her
previous colon cancer, but he hopes that it have been removed completely by
the
operation. So, he wants to keep a close follow up of Grace's health.
Serving with you in His Vineyard,
Otto and Grace

Praise the Lord!!! Grace entered surgery at
4:30 PM this afternoon (after a two hour delay) and finished her surgery at
7:30 PM. The surgeon came to speak with us directly after the surgery
and told us that he believed the surgery went quite successfully. Grace
did not bleed very much, and he was able to remove the lobe that had the tumor
in it. Grace has 4/5 of her lung capacity still and the doctor said she
should be able to recover and leave the hospital in 5-7 days. The
surgeon checked the entire area around the tumor and did not find anything
else that looked suspicious. In his words, the mass was
"localized" and appeared to be at an early stage with no spreading
to nearby lobes or lymph nodes. The surgeon is sending everything to be
tested in a lab and we will not find out the final results until next week.
Grace will be in the recovery room for two hours and then will be transported
to ICU (intensive care unit). Please continue to pray for her pain
because the doctor said that after this type of surgery she will be sore for
about one month. Every time she breathes it will cause her pain for the
next few weeks, so please pray that the Lord would minimize her pain
especially in the next few days (5-7 days) and that she would be able to
recover quickly and completely. She did not take the epidureal injection
so please pray for the medication she will be taking for pain. She
wanted to convey her deepest gratitude for all the prayers. Thanks again
for supporting us during this difficult time. We will continue to keep
you updated.
With much love in Christ,
Otto and Jenel Sanchez
