Our dear prayer warriors,

“Return to your rest, O my soul, For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.” (Psalm 116:7) We can really count all the blessings that God has given us and are grateful for the privilege of serving Him in Peru all these years.

  1. The testimonies and the ministries of the students who graduated from the seminary who are working in different places around the world are always an encouragement and one of our motives to praise and thank the Lord. The time with them in their classes, at the football field, in the dorms, and in church are blessed beautiful memories.
  2. Those with whom we shared the gospel that are serving the Lord in their respective places and in the Chinese churches are our comfort and are in our prayers.
  3. When the plane was arriving at the airport in Hong Kong, Grace was looking through the window. Her heart was filled with deep, deep gratitude. By the grace of the Lord, she finished the mission that God had entrusted her with these 34 years in Cambodia, Taiwan, Canada, Costa Rica, Peru and now she was going back to the “sending field.” He who has promised is faithful!

Prayer Requests:

We knew we needed some time to adjust and settle down. Actually both of us were very, very tired. But we did not expect Grace to be so sick since her arrival in Hong Kong. She has spent 4 days in the hospital. Because of this, she was told to have a PET SCAN.

This is also the reason that we have been so exhausted in the past month going to different doctors’ appointments. She was diagnosed with a recurrence of the cancer in the lungs. As you know, it was not easy news for us and for our children. We need His strength, His comfort, His peace, His guidance, and His wisdom.

God gave Grace Psalm 116. Since we responded to the calling of the Lord, we knew that this is a path of faith. Jesus was with us all the time, in war and in peace, far away in the mission fields, in our home, in health, and in sickness.

“I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.” Our request is that you join us in your prayers that we would always be His true servants.

Love in Christ, Otto & Grace
