親愛的代禱戰士： 謝謝你們的禱告和支持。在家人的恊助下，我們已在八月遷回西灣河的住所安頓下來。我們很努力的清理家居及安置好從秘魯運回香港的物品，現在這裡已成為一個舒適的家。對我來說唯一的問題是要行四層樓梯，這是我每天接受的挑戰，但對樂道則是一種很好的運動。 我的健康狀況： 今年的九月四日，我做了第二次正電子放射斷層掃描(第一次則是在三月十五日)。掃描的結果並不理想，兩邊肺部都發現有癌細胞，而且相比起第一次掃描時還要大和活躍，有2.5厘米之大(上次只是1.4厘米)。據醫生所說，在這情況下並不適宜採用「數碼導航刀」治療，唯一的選擇只有「化療」。 你們可以想像得到，這對我來說是一個艱難去面對「消化」的事實，這也是我為何遲遲不寫信給你們的原因。我需要來到神的寶座前，請求祂憐憫和幫助我渡過這艱難的日子。對於樂道來說，同樣也是一點都不容易。 慈愛的神，祂不斷地提醒我祂是信實的，而事實上衪確實持守祂所應許的。祂回應了你我的禱告，使我可以達成我需要和期望的宣教使命。此外，自從1996年神於詩篇112篇7-8節中給我應許『他必不怕兇惡的信息，他心堅定倚靠耶和華。他心確定，總不懼怕，直到他看見敵人遭報。』老實地說，祂在我過去十一年的抗癌戰鬥中一直引領著我。我承認有些時候我的信心是弱小的，但神仍一直與我和我的家人同在。衪亦給予我以下的經文來安慰我，『我看見他所行的道，也要醫治他；又要引導他，使他和那一同傷心的人再得安慰。我造就嘴唇的果子；願平安康泰歸與遠處的人，也歸與近處的人；並且我要醫治他。這是耶和華說的。
』(以賽亞書57章18-19節)
無論你們身在我的遠方或近處，我禱告求神賜福及平安予你們。 我亦深信詩篇作者所說：『在耶和華眼中看聖民之死極為寶貴。』所以神知道我們活著的每一天，我們是為祂而活的。 請為我們能不會失去對神的信心，反而繼續向衪仰望而禱告。 再次多謝大家為我們禱告的愛心和關懷。 願神給予你們平安，並每天更新你們身心。 主內姊妹慈恩 Updated News: 2007.09.18 Dear
Prayer Warriors, Thank
you for your prayers. We have moved back to Sai Wan Ho in August. We are
thankful to our family who has tried their effort to help us to settle down
finally. Really we have worked very hard to cleanse the house and unpack the
things. It is a comfortable place right now. The only problem is that we have to
go up to 4th floor. It is a daily challenge for me but a good
exercise for Otto. My
health situation- I
went to do my 2nd PET SCAN of this year on 4th of
September. My first one was done in March 15. The result is not very
satisfactory. The cancers are found in both sides of my lung. To compare with
the first PET SCAN, they are bigger in size and more aggressive, e.g. Size (cm)
2.5 (was 1.4) . The treatment of “Cyberknife” was not recommended. According
to the doctors, the only option was “chemotherapy”. You can imagine how hard
it was for me to “digest” this news. This is also the reason that I delay my
time to write to you. I need to go to the throne of God to ask for His mercy and
find grace to help me in this difficult time. It is not easy for Otto too. God
is merciful. He reminds me again and again that He is faithful and He does keep
His promise. He answered my prayers and your prayers that I could finish all my
required and desired years of ministry in the mission field. More, since 1996 He
gave me the promise in Psalms 112:7 “He will have no fear of bad news, his
heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord….in the end he will look in triumph
on his foes. To tell the truth, all these past 11 years of cancer battle, He has
been carrying me through. I admit that sometimes my faith is little but He is
always here with me and my family. Here are the verses very comforting, “I
have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to
him, creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel. Peace, peace, to
those far and near.” Says the Lord. “And I will heal them.” (Isaiah
57:18-19) I do pray that whether you are living far away from me or near to me,
God will bless you and grant you His peace. I
also believe what the Psalmist says, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the
death of his saints.” So God knows all our days and if we live, we live for
Him. Please
pray that we will not lose heart but continue to fix our eyes upon Him. Thanks
again for being so loving and so caring to pray for me. May
God grant you His peace and refresh you each day. Your
