預備迎接主再來（馬太福音２５：１─１３）

　　耶穌說一個關於十個童女的故事。她們等候新郎迎接新娘回來。幾個童女沒預備好，結果油用完了。耶穌以這故事提醒我們，祂必回來。既然我們不知道什麽時候，我們必須做好預備。

 

缺乏資源

　　尼日利亞時常面對3大資源的缺乏：電源、水源和汽油。可能有些人對這個出產石油的國家竟然會缺乏汽油而感到覺得奇怪。這是因爲政府爲了賺取龐大的利益而把石油都售賣給他國的緣故。

　　幾乎每個宣教士都曾經經驗到到處尋找或困在長長的車龍中苦等，只爲了購買汽油。我們也爲此而必須備有多個大容器來儲存汽油和水，以備不時之需。在這裡，沒有人知道什麽時候會罷工，什麽時候來源缺乏，或供應有困難。

　　當耶穌再來時，我們不需再為這些資源煩惱了；但我們需要為自己的生命交賬，你預備好了嗎？

 

世界杯

　　我聽説許多香港人因爲觀看世界杯而生病或太疲勞。這裡與主辦囯德國只有一小時的時差，因此我很方便地就能觀看晚間8點鐘的第三場競賽。因工作的緣故，我無法觀看所有的競賽，心中難免感到有點遺憾。我喜歡觀看球賽，因爲它有點像作「宣教」。

你必須有好的組織和團隊精神。你也必須與其他人配合，不能有個人英雄主義。整個團隊必須帶着同樣使命、勇氣、忍耐、堅持…以及衝勁，以達到目標。

我常為你們的支持而感恩。因爲你們與我同工，並在同樣的團隊中為我打氣。

感恩和代禱

  1. 我們還在為事工所需要的貨車籌款，以載送同工、義工們以及所需的器材去做外展事工。（若你願意奉獻，在寄給SIM的捐款上請註明是給與“Gidan Bege ministry van” 謝謝你為5月19日的鄉村醫療外展工作禱告，我們共帶領了13個人信主，為120個病人作診治。
  2. 請為愛滋病事工感恩。我正在訓練義工隊伍，求神賜給他們勇氣和智慧來學習。   
  3. 7月份有兩位來自美國的短期同工參與希望之家的事工。她們主要參與盲人村的兒童工作。求主使用她們，帶給許多人祝福。
  4. 我的家已經有4個月缺乏足夠的水，情況越來越糟。請為我禱告，能調整和適應所帶來的許多不便之處；也為這問題能早日解決禱告。
  5. 我從6月29到7月16日會到加納參加會議。請為旅程安全，以及這段期間希望之家的事工繼續順利進行，義工們與短期同工有很好的配搭代禱。 
  6. 請繼續記念我父親的健康，也為我的家人能喜樂的渡過每一天禱告。

Be ready when Jesus comes Matt 25:1-13

Jesus told a story about young women with lamps. They were waiting for the bridegroom to bring the bride to his home. Some of them ran out of oil. Jesus told this story to remind us that he is coming back; since we don’t know exactly when, we must always be ready!

Shortage of resources

3 major resources are always shortage in Nigeria. They are electricity, water and petrol. Some of you may be very surprised to hear shortage of petrol in such an ‘oil country’ where it produces oil. The government keeps selling it out to other countries in order to earn ‘big money’.

All missionaries have many painful experiences in searching or sitting in a queue for hour and hour to buy petrol. So we all have to keep many different jerricans of petrol and water for times of shortage. You never know when they will on strike, shortage, or just have many problems in supply.

When Jesus comes back again, we don’t need to care those resources any more. But we will have to present our whole life to Him. Are we all ready for that anytime?   

World Cup 

I heard that many HK people are becoming sick or physical tired because of watching world cup. It is one hour difference between Germany and Nigeria, so I can watch the 3rd match easily as it shows at 8pm. I also struggle of those matches which I can’t watch because of work. I like watching world cup as it is just like ‘mission’.

You have to have a well-organized team with good team spirit. Then you have to cooperate with one another, no one can try to be hero. And the task has to be finished with looking at same vision, courage, perseverance, endurance…and passion.

I’m always grateful by your support because all of you are also working and cheering together with me in the same team!

Praise And Prayer

  1. We are still raising fund for a ministry van for carry staffs and volunteers for outreach. (You may contribute to ministry support with specification of "Gidan Bege ministry van" through SIM.) Thank you for your prayers for the village medical outreach on 19th May that we got about 13 converts and 120 people were helped medically.     
  2. Thank God for this VCT HIV/AIDS program. I am now training the volunteers. Pray that God will encourage and give them wisdom in learning.   
  3. There will be two short term young ladies coming from America to come and join us in ‘House of hope’ ministry in July. They will be mainly involved in children ministry in blind towns. Pray that they will be many blessings for the people. 
  4. My house does not have enough water for over 4 months. It is now getting worse and worse. Please pray for me in coping with such situation and that the problem will be solved quickly.
  5. I will travel to Ghana from 29th June – 16th July for meetings. Please pray for my safe journey and ‘House of Hope’ ministry will still be run faithfully as well as their cooperation with the short term visitors. 
  6. Please continue to pray for my father’s health and joy for my whole family.

2.       感謝肢體的關心及禱告，美芳爸爸在醫生的診斷及藥物的治療下，他的情況稍為穩定。
